Semen Gresik Wins the 2022 BCOMSS Award from the Ministry of SOEs for Developing Integrated Farming
Rembang, March 25, 2022 - PT Semen Gresik (PTSG) was highly appreciated after winning second place at the 2022 BUMN Corporate Communications and Sustainability Summit (BCOMSS) award hosted by the Ministry of BUMN. The award was achieved for the category of Community Involvement and Development for the Environmental Program after going through a series of rigorous assessment processes by the jury, one of which was Najwa Shihab.
Erick Thohir, the Minister of SOEs, presented the award to Donny Arsal, the President Director of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), at the Talkshow and Award Ceremony at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (23/3).
Semen Gresik was appreciated for its achievement in empowering the community and the environment around its operational area through integrated farming to increase productivity, independence, food security, and farmers' welfare in a sustainable manner.
Subhan, the PTSG's President Director, stated that the award received is a form of all lines' commitment to continue involving the community in the company's activities. This involvement is expected to strengthen social license and good synergy from the community around the company in a sustainable manner.

Subhan continued that the PTSG team raised the theme "Harmonizing the Industry and Environment through Integrated Farming" at the 2022 BCOMSS event. He claimed that Semen Gresik had been committed to growing and coexisting with the community since its inception.
Subhan added that harmonization in integrated farming was manifested by collaborating with BUMDes farmers to manage more than 39 hectares of area, including horticultural plantations, Integrated Agricultural Eduparks, food crop farming, reservoirs with a volume of more than 15 thousand cubic meters, and empowering more than 311 farmers. In addition, the collaboration ensured water availability, reduced flood danger, and filtered air pollutants.
''Semen Gresik's achievement in harmonizing the environment is tangible evidence of the benefits of the Rembang factory's existence. We will continue to provide the best possible contribution to society," he added.
The BCOMSS Award is expected to encourage and affirm the company's commitment to improving CSR programs based on the triple line principles, which include Profit (benefit), People (human development), and Planet (environment).
BCOMSS, held twice by the Ministry of SOEs, is a prestigious event for people engaged in communication and sustainability programs within SOEs.
